What we will learn

For this first collab baking class, we are proud to partner with Balsamico Italian Kitchen restaurant, located in Imperial Beach. Learn the secrets behind creating the perfect Italian dessert masterpiece, Tiramisu! Join us for a hands-on demo where you'll uncover the delicate balance of rich coffee-soaked vanilla cake (gluten free of course!), velvety mascarpone cream with a dusting of cocoa powder. This recipe contains eggs and dairy (soy free and corn free) In this workshop, you'll be guided by Elisa Borelli, expert Italian Chef and Owner of Balsamico, and by Roanna Canete, Founder of The GF Baking Co and expert GF pastry chef. From selecting the finest ingredients to mastering the intricate layering technique, you'll gain the confidence and knowledge needed to recreate this classic Italian delight in your own kitchen--gluten free! When you attend the class, you will watch a demonstration of the GF Vanilla Cake with Roanna. With Elisa, you will do a hands on portion to make the mascarpone cream and layer it with the GF vanilla cake. Participants will go home with their own portion of GF tiramisu that they construct over the course of the class, as well as the complete recipe for the GF cake and the cream. Note: this class is not held in a GF facility so there is always risk of cross contamination. However, the GF cake will be produced in the GF Baking Co kitchen and transported to the class. The class itself will be held in the restaurant portion where we have the capability to sterilize all tables and utensils. Cancellation Policy

We request that you cancel at least 72 hours before a scheduled class. You may cancel by email info@TheGFCulinarySchool.com. If you cancel before the 72 hours, we apply a $10 cancellation fee. However, if you do not cancel prior to the 72 hours, you will lose the payment for the class.
